Advanced Diploma of Christian Ministry

This three year course is designed for students who wish for more than just a foundational knowledge of the Bible, and who desire to be involved in Christian service at some level. Together with a thorough grounding in the Scriptures and a basic knowledge of theology, this course also equips students to be effective workers within the local church or other Christian ministries. Objectives

By the completion of the Advanced Diploma students will:

  • demonstrate a sound knowledge and understanding of, the Bible, basic theology, the mission of the church, interpersonal relationships, team work, as well as Christian perspectives on key contemporary social issues.
  • have developed godly attitudes and values which reflect a desire for people oriented service, the necessity of depending on God and the Bible, consistency in personal Christian growth and ministry, a positive attitude towards authority, ministry and servanthood.
  • have acquired ministry skills and tools in various fields such as preaching, discipleship, evangelism, creative ministries, pastoral counselling, youth work, and cross cultural ministry.

Career Options

The Advanced Diploma of Christian Ministry programme is recommended for students seeking to pursue a professional career in Christian Ministry (e.g. Youth Pastor, Ministry Leader), and also for those wishing to undertake further academic studies. The Advanced Diploma in Christian Ministry can be credited as 2yrs (16 units) towards the 3yr (24 units) Bachelor of Ministry Degree.
