| Introduction To Video Techniques |

We live in a visual environment and it is imperative for the church to use the medium of video to communicate the message to the church and the world. Using video without being aware of the scope and limitations of the medium, however, could be detrimental in delivering the message in the most effective way. This course provides the foundation for learning the rudimentary skills in video production as well as helping students gain an understanding of some communication theories and how to make the best use of multi-media within the specific needs of the local church. |

| Advanced Video Production |

This course combines practical hands-on experience in video production with communication theory. It also provides a theological framework for the use of video in the context of the local congregation. |

| Creative Writing |
|
|
Writing forms the basis for most forms of creative communication. In this unit we will explore a range of creative approaches to writing. The power of the imagination is often under utilised in the church to communicate the message of the gospel. This course will open up new avenues to explore the possibilities to communicate the gospel in a rich and fresh way. This unit introduces the students to a range of writing techniques for use in their ministry. Students will be invited to engage different literary genres and focus on a range of target audiences. |

| Multi-Media in the Church |

In this unit we look at various forms of communication in and through the church. Bulletins can become more than just stale junks of information; the internet can become the means by which a small church can reach the world; visual story-boards and short videos can add life to the sermons. |
