Diploma of Ministry (with English Studies)
The Diploma of Ministry – with English studies, is an attractive option for those students whose English skills need to be extended prior to undertaking further studies in the medium of the English language. Students who enrol in the Diploma, with this purpose in mind, will gain a foundational knowledge and skill base for ministry in English, as well as being prepared for more rigorous ministry training in English in the future.
The span of 1 year gives the student time to become more proficient in English for their ministry, from the English classes, in applying their learning to their biblical studies and with the extended period of living in an English speaking country.
Course Subjects
The Diploma in Ministry—with English studies, includes the following subjects:
- Old Testament Survey
- New Testament Survey
- Academic English
- Critical Thinking
- Theological English
- Theology in English
- Understanding the Bible
- Ministry Communication Skills
While this course is designed to prepare students for further advanced ministry training in English, the course can be taken as a stand alone course for foundational ministry in English. Upon successful completion of this course students will be given 6 months (4 subjects) credit towards the Bachelor of Ministry Degree or 9 months (6 subjects) credit towards an Advanced Diploma of Christian Ministry.
