Mr David Smith

College Principal & Lecturer

David has experience in business and has worked as a Church Pastor in the area of teaching and leadership training before coming to PBC. He is the College Principal and a lecturer, and comes to PBC from Tasmania with his wife and three children.


Dr Andre van Oudtshoorn
B A, B D, Dip Th, D Th
Academic Dean & Senior Lecturer

Andre has served as a pastor in both large and small churches in South Africa and Australia. He has also worked as a Christian producer and TV director. At PBC Andre lectures in Systematic Theology Counselling and Creative Ministry. Andre has written a number of books including Worship the way to know God, Christ the Reconciler and A Taste of Glory, an introduction to theological studies. He is married to Anne and has four adult children.

Dr Lindsay Ferguson
B Min, B Sc (Hons), Ph D
Dean of Students & Lecturer

Lindsay comes originally from Scotland and has a background in geology. She has a passion for community outreach and a desire to encourage students to their full potential for Christ. Lindsay is in charge of student recruitment and a lecturer. She also tutors and mentors students.

Mr Basie van Rooyen

Lecturer

Basie has been involved in missions in South Africa and Europe. After finishing his Theological studies he served as a pastor for 7 years. He teaches Old Testament and is responsible for the upkeep of the College facilities. Basie is married to Hanlie.

Mr Adam Niven

Dean of Studies

Adam has been inolved in church ministry and leadership for over ten years with experience in areas related to youth, creative, worship and outreach.  Adam completed his degree specialising in pastoral and creative ministry.  He heads up our creative and external studies departments.  Adam is married to Clair and they have four children.

Dr Garth Eichorn

Sessional lecturer: Urban Mission

Garth has worked as a church pastor for over 30 years. He has a particular involvment with urban mission in which he also completed his doctorate. Garth has planted a Cantonese speaking church and developed several urban mission projects. He is deeply concerned that Christians understand their culture and how to communicate the Gospel and live confidently in the urban world. Garth is also Chairman of the PBC board.

Sessional lecturer: Spiritual Formation and New Testament

David is the director of Journeylines Counselling & Training Services and has over 20 years of counselling experience. He has been involved with PBC for 12 years and has a desire for people to know, explore and live the realness of Jesus in all of life.

Mrs Lois Sandow
Receptionist

Lois has worked in Christian Education and as a music teacher. She works as receptionist and secretary at the college. Her kind smile and friendliness ensure you always feel welcome.

Mrs Judy Smith
Office & Library Assistant

Judy is a gifted musician, the wife of David and the mother of Daniel, Aidan and Kaila. Judy, who previously worked for Australia Post, now provides life to the PBC office working as our Office and Library Assistant

Mr Ken Vawser

Admin Officer

Ken has worked in the goverment, industry and for many church and Christian organisations in the field of Accounting and Administration. Ken now acres for the finances of the college.

Mr Nicholas van Oudtshoorn
B CM (Hons), M Div
Computer Technician

Having a background in systems administration, Nicholas also pastors a local church. He works for PBC part-time to ensure that the college's IT services continue to function and improve. Nicholas also teaches a computer skills course for students who need to aquire these essential skills.
