PBC has been one of the most rewarding experiences in my Christian ministry training

“Studying at PBC has been one of the most rewarding experiences in my Christian ministry training,” says Diploma and Bachelor of Ministry alumnus Catherine Schnetler.

Catherine completed both her Diploma and Bachelor of Ministry courses at the college and has seen the benefits of this Christian education in her personal and professional life. Catherine lives in Tasmania and engaged in her studies with PBC via our Flexible Learning options, which included joining classes via Zoom (virtual classroom) and online learning, integrated with on the ground ministry practicum.

A desire to serve God and her community

Catherine is a full-time ministry worker and campus pastor and chose to study Christian ministry and counselling because of her desire to serve God and her community better.

“I knew that I needed a firm foundation in biblical studies and practical ministry skills to be an effective leader and biblical counsellor,” she says.

Why Catherine chose biblical theology courses at PBC

Choosing PBC was an easy decision for Catherine because of its multi-denominational approach to biblical theological education.

PBC offers a diverse range of perspectives and experiences, which Catherine says helped her to broaden her understanding of the Bible and Christian ministry.

She says the staff at PBC are exceptional, and their passion for equipping students to serve God’s purposes is contagious.

How PBC has equipped Catherine to serve God’s purposes

“Studying at PBC has equipped me to serve God’s purposes in our generation in numerous ways.

Firstly, the topics covered during my studies were relevant and practical. The content focused on developing a deeper understanding of the Bible and practical Christian ministry skills that are necessary in today’s society. This knowledge has enabled me to share God’s word more effectively with my family, friends and colleagues.

Secondly, PBC has provided me with the tools to serve God in different areas of Christian ministry.

Whether it’s missions, evangelism, preaching or counselling, the knowledge and skills that I have acquired at PBC are transferable and applicable to any ministry context.

Lastly, PBC is committed to walking the journey with students. The college community is supportive and encouraging, and the staff members are always available for guidance and support. This sense of community and support has helped me grow personally and professionally.”

“The thing I loved most about PBC was the environment. We have a Christian community on campus, support from the lecturer, lovely students and fellowship. It has encouraged me to feel part of the community.”
