Dr Shannon Hood initially worked as an Engineer, concluding his corporate career as a Senior Manager with Deloitte. After that, he studied to be a Pastor in the Lutheran church. During his theology studies, Dr Hood discovered a love of counselling and started volunteering as an Emergency Services worker. In addition to his work at PBC, Dr Hood has an active private counselling, supervision, and consulting practice.
What does Shannon love about his job?
“I love the fact that I get to be a Pracademic.”
Shannon enjoys keeping his hand in practically with ongoing counselling and supervision work, while also undertaking further research in the field and having the great privilege of teaching others.
