What We Believe

Our vision at PBC is to meet the world with the gospel and to train and equip the everyday Christian to advance the mission of Christ and serve in whatever season and context they’re called to. We enable students to fulfill God’s purpose within their generation through our theological and Christian counselling courses.

We execute this vision by providing biblical and theological education as a TEQSA accredited tertiary provider in order to equip churches and Christian organisations with a qualified and effective workforce that harnesses the development of faithful leaders through various educational programs.

This framework is underpinned by what we believe and our core values.

One God
  • Eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
One Lord Jesus Christ
  • God manifests in the flesh. We believe in His virgin birth, His sinless human life, His divine miracles, His vicarious and atoning death, His bodily resurrection, His ascension, His mediatorial work and His personal return in power and glory.
The salvation
  • Of lost and sinful humanity through the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ by faith, apart from works, and regeneration by the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit
  • By whose indwelling the believer is enabled to live a holy life, to witness and work for the Lord Jesus Christ.
The Unity
  • Of the Spirit of all true believers, the Church and the Body of Christ.
The Resurrection
  • Of Christ and the final resurrection to come.
The Holy Scriptures
  • As originally given by God, divinely inspired, infallible, entirely trustworthy and the supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct.

Our core values

We are evangelical
  • We are deeply committed to sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ with a world that is in need of hope and redemption. We believe that it has the power to transform lives and heal brokenness, and we are passionate about sharing this message with others, through our teachings and service to God.
We are interdenominational
  • We value diversity and promote unity. Rather than prescribing to one particular approach, we seek to equip our students with the foundational knowledge, tools and skills they need to think critically.

This practical approach to ministry encourages students to engage with varied perspectives and theological traditions, while also providing support to explore their own beliefs and values.

We are ministry oriented
  • Our studies contain a high level of biblical academic education, and we are committed to maintaining this high standard as an essential foundation for practical ministry. Our Christian education also includes a “How does this apply to my Christian church and world?” situation and contains practical skills necessary to be effective in Christian ministry.
We are servants of God’s Word
  • We understand that as humans, we need to adopt a posture of humility before the final authority of the revelation of God. We allow God’s Word to confront us constantly, placing our ideas and practices before Him to be shaped and moulded for His glory.
We are communication focused
  • In any form of Christian ministry, communication skills are paramount. The effectiveness of a gospel-centred, Kingdom-focused ministry will depend not so much on the knowledge of the message but on how the message is communicated in a biblically relevant and clear way. Our biblical and theological studies incorporate the need to communicate well what is being learned.
We are Kingdom trainers
  • Rather than only training the individual, we desire to give students tools to develop others and themselves. Each graduate should be able to effectively impact the world in which they minister and train others to impact their world, serving God’s purpose in their generation.

Interdenominational Bible College

We are an interdenominational evangelical Bible College that maintains its tradition of training men and women for ministry.

PBC is a nationally TEQSA-accredited tertiary education institution. We provide holistic higher education awards from Diplomas to Masters degrees in an environment of academic excellence that is Christ-centred, ministry focused, and life-transforming.

Our courses are truly flexible and can be face-to-face on campus, online via live stream, or in your own time via the recorded lectures. Hybrid learning is offered with a combination of lecture styles.

Whatever method of learning you choose, we want to empower you to think deeply about Christ, His work and the world, and to SERVE Him with integrity, courage, conviction and love.

Studying for Christian Ministry is challenging and rewarding. You are choosing to give your life to serve others as your calling to follow Christ.

PBC arose from a vision of the world’s need for the gospel of grace, more effective servants of the gospel, and intentional Bible-based ministry and theological training.

We are committed to the development of each student in their spiritual and academic progress.

PBC continues to flourish through the grace and faithfulness of God.

We want to reach more people and establish and strengthen more ministries by men and women skilled and passionate about the gospel. We want to empower individuals to be effective in the many contexts God calls His people to serve.

Unsure what the right pathway is for you?
We’ll walk you through your options.

“The thing I loved most about PBC was the environment. We have a Christian community on campus, support from the lecturer, lovely students and fellowship. It has encouraged me to feel part of the community.”
